This Work Life balancecourse is designed for
any member of staff who wants to stay on the tight rope and keep all their audiences
happy!
The Work Life Balance course teaches participants how to think in a new way and respond differently,
to go back to a more natural rhythm of life, find time to be rather than do, live
more positively and proactively and live in the present. The Work Life Balance course draws on Gill’s
experience of being lost in Africa.
Content:
What work life balance means
Understanding how life gets out of balance and causes stress
Learning to inhibit unhelpful reactions and utilising helpful responses to stress
Developing
resilience, inhibiting worry to create work life balance
Communicating assertively and openly
Developing personal qualities to excel in life and create work life balance
Overcoming the hurdles and tolerations
Developing perspective
Deciding what is important in life and envisaging the future
Drawing up an action plan to create a more balanced life
The day will be an interactive experience of videos, exercises, brainstorming,
role-plays, discussions and observations. At times the issues covered will be
deep and introspective, with some searching questions addressing where each person
needs to take action for themselves to create more work life balance.
A session of learning how to spin plates can be incorporated into the
day and acts as a great metaphor for learning new skills and anchors new lessons
learnt.
